Among the strategic initiatives of The Mico Foundation is to support the University College to extend the operation of the e-campus with all the required technological platforms to facilitate to expand teaching, learning, and research. To support this initiative, the Foundation undertook bold steps in 2012 to lay a network of fiber optic cables to ensure a stable platform for online interaction. The foregoing initiative was the Foundation’s response to the urgent need for the University College to be in readiness with the availability of virtual classrooms to respond to the demands of the ever-changing technological era. In this regard, the Foundation collaborated with the University College and the Alumni Association to build SMART classrooms for students and teachers to interact in a virtual learning space. The Foundation invites, partnership in the efforts to strengthen and expand the University College online learning platform to provide the required technological inputs for its virtual classrooms. These needed facilities will greatly enhance the teaching learning processes for staff and students.
