I am delighted that the Mico Foundation has decided to launch a new website to showcase the work of the Foundation and the offerings of the Mico University College to students in Jamaica, the Caribbean and beyond. The Lady Mico Trust was founded by Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton in 1834 on Christian principles to support education in Jamaica. The Trustees have endeavoured to perpetuate his vision as evidenced in the advancements at the University College since its inception. The University College stands on the original site which was donated to the Mico Foundation by the Lady Mico Trust in 2000. The Lady Mico Trust has a close relationship with The Mico Foundation who are the custodians of all the properties in which the University College operates.
The Trustees are proud of their long association with the University College. They are pleased to continue to work in collaboration with the Mico Foundation to support the maintenance and upgrade of the physical infrastructure and new projects to benefit the sustainability of the college and its students.
